ABC Motorhomes and Car Rentals has been in business in Anchorage for over 22 years, offering excellent customer service, all inclusive prices, and the best motorhomes available in the state. We are the only RV rental company located at the Anchorage International Airport.
Our services include: free shuttle to/from the airport, railroad and Anchorage hotels; first night stay on our lot for late arrivals; one all-inclusive price that includes rental, tax, unlimited mileage, linens and cookware packages, cleaning and dumping; an all-Alaskan staff that can assist you with any of your tour planning questions, and prompt, courteous service throughout the booking and rental process. We also arrange transfers to/from the cruise ships in Whittier and Seward, as well as custom transfers throughout the state using one of our six or ten passenger limo vehicles.
Additionally, we have a fleet of late model cars that we offer for both full and half day rentals, so you can return your motorhome and pick up a car rental all at the same time, without having to go back to the airport.
ABC Motorhome Rentals US rental terms
Security deposit:
Further to the Booking Confirmation Deposit which is 15% of your base rental costs paid to Imall Vehicle Hire, ABC Motorhomes will charge you an additional $499.50 to secure a reservation if made more than 30 days from arrival date. These charges are part of your rental fees, they are not in addition to your rental fees. The balance of your rental is due to ABC Motorhomes 30 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation policy:
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
- 34 days or more before arrival: $250.00 is refunded and $250.00 is held on a letter of credit that can be used within one year toward a rental.
- 33 days or less before arrival: $499.50 is held on a letter of credit that can be used within one year toward a rental and the balance is refunded.
- Cancellation for medical emergency - full amount collected is refunded with letter from doctor.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.
Damage deposit:
Damage deposit of $500.00 is collected at time motorhome is picked up; refunded less cost for any damage done to motorhome.
Insurance:
Proof of automobile insurance is required along with drivers license. For international, you must purchase CDW insurance in the absence of US insurance. Our insurance deductible is $2,500.00; $500.00 with CDW.
Driver requirement:
All drivers must be at least 25 years old and have a major credit card.
Smoking:
No smoking and no pets allowed in motorhomes.
Pick up and return:
Pick Up Time is between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Return Time is between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Depots are closed on Sundays.
***IMPORTANT NOTE***
Please be aware that over the winter months most motorhomes will be "winterized". That is, there will be no running water due to the fact that it is too cold and the water will freeze in the pipes. If you are concerned that your motorhome is going to be winterised, please ask when you book and we will confirm if this will be the case or not, as it really depends on the weather conditions and temperatures at the time.
LEAVE ON LOT POLICY: ABC can leave a vehicle for you for an after hours pick up, but you will be charged for a full day on the day ABC left the vehicle for you. So if you are picking up at 1am, you will still pay full rental for the previous day. You will be able to sleep in the vehicle overnight and you will process the paperwork the following day and be given the ignition keys.

We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
